The East Jerusalem YMCA’s Rehabilitation Programme was started in 1989 by a group of young volunteers, providing rehabilitative care for young people injured during the first Intifada and helping them return to ordinary life.
Based at the Shepherds’ Field in Beit Sahour, it now works through field teams across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, with people with disabilities and with survivors of political violence.
